🥩 Braised Beef with Onion Gravy

Ingredients:800 g – 1 kg beef (chuck roast or steak, sliced thick)2 large onions, sliced3 cloves garlic, minced2 tbsp oil or butter2 tbsp flour2 cups beef broth1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce1 tsp mustard (optional)Salt & pepper to taste1 tsp paprika (optional)Fresh thyme or parsley (optional)Instructions:Sear the beefSeason beef with salt and pepper.Heat oil in a pan and sear meat until browned on both sides.Remove and set aside.Cook the onionsIn the same pan, add onions and cook until soft and golden.Add garlic and cook 1 minute.Make the gravySprinkle flour over onions and stir for 1–2 minutes.Slowly add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.Add Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and paprika.Combine and cookReturn beef to the pan and coat with sauce.Cover and simmer on low heat for 1.5–2 hours (or bake at 160°C).FinishSauce should be thick and rich.Taste and adjust seasoning.Garnish with herbs if desired.
