Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler

Ingredients Peach filling 6 cups sliced fresh peaches, or 2 large cans (about 29 oz each) sliced peaches, well drained½ cup granulated sugar½ cup packed brown sugar1 teaspoon ground cinnamon¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg1 tablespoon lemon juice1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 tablespoons cornstarch2 tablespoons melted butterKrispy Kreme topping 6–8 original glazed doughnuts, cut into bite-size pieces1 cup all-purpose flour½ cup packed brown sugar½ teaspoon cinnamon¼ teaspoon salt6 tablespoons cold butter, cubedOptional glaze 1 cup powdered sugar2 tablespoons milk½ teaspoon vanilla extractInstructionsPreheat the oven: Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.Prepare the peaches: Place the sliced peaches in a large bowl. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, vanilla, cornstarch, and melted butter. Toss gently until the peaches are evenly coated.Fill the baking dish: Spread the peach mixture evenly in the prepared dish, including all the sweet juices.Add the doughnuts: Scatter the chopped glazed doughnuts over the peaches. Gently press some pieces down into the peach filling while leaving others on top.Make the crumble: Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter with your fingertips or a pastry cutter until the mixture forms coarse, buttery crumbs.Top the cobbler: Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the peaches and doughnut pieces.Bake: Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the peach filling is bubbling around the edges and the topping is deeply golden. If the doughnut pieces brown too quickly, loosely cover the dish with foil for the final 10–15 minutes.Make the glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add a tiny splash more milk if necessary.Finish: Allow the cobbler to cool for about 15 minutes, then drizzle the vanilla glaze over the warm top.ServingSpoon the warm cobbler into bowls, making sure everyone gets plenty of syrupy peaches and crispy glazed topping. It’s especially delicious with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Tip: If using canned peaches, drain them very well so the cobbler doesn’t become watery. For an extra caramel-like finish, sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons of brown sugar over the top just before baking
